Here we go, folks! I'm Dale, call-sign Bear, your moderator for a brand new Yahoo blog called TheBigFiveOh.com.

What's it about? Anything of interest to us FiftySomethings. Politics, sex, wine, cars, careers (or the end of them), music, boats, planes--anything goes.

Who am I? I write military techno-thrillers from my home near Lake Tahoe, Nevada. I fly planes (and used to fly for the U.S. Air Forces), love good wine, screwing around with computers, boats, golf, and lots of other things.

Why am I doing this? Basically gives me something to do when I take a break from writing instead of playing "Command And Conquer: Generals" or eating.
