So Ken put some plywood on the small section of roof below to keep the ice
from crashing through. If we still had our air mattress, I would've put that
under it! My son's office/classroom is underneath the impact area, and I've
ordered him out until that thing comes down.
We're getting snow and much cooler temps this week so winter is back, but
I've gotten a taste of spring and now I can't wait.

My brother Ken came over and chopped down most of the ice that has been
threatening to do more damage around the house, but the one in the picture
above is out of reach and it's so ready to go that we didn't want to be
anywhere near it when it decided to give way. It has to weigh 100 pounds and
is hanging out almost 2 feet away from the eave!
