Dale Brown Interview With: Peter Anthony Holder
When a former pilot turns his hand to thrillers you can take their authenticity
for granted. His writing is exceptional and the dialogue, plots and characters
are first-class... far too good to be missed.'

[MEGAFORTRESS.COM image] The "SHADOW COMMAND" book tour schedule is continuing to grow and expand. Check the updated previous Blog entry or my Web site at www.AirBattleForce.com for details.

Added: Costco book signing appearances in Reno, Tucson, and Scottsdale in mid to late June.

The added book tour stops makes me want to get a plane even more, but I've got to be honest with myself: a plane is a toy. It's a useful and fun toy, but it's also an expensive and time-consuming toy.

I'm trying to teach my son that there is a difference between things you WANT to have and things you NEED to have. Many times I have to teach myself the same lesson.

I might get checked out at Northern Nevada Aviation in Reno--they have a Piper Aztec twin plus several Cessna 182s with glass cockpits in their rental fleet. But if availability becomes an issue, I might re-look at owning another plane.

I'm pretty much packed and ready for Laughlin. The weather starting out will be iffy: rain and snow showers in the Sierra, rain showers in the Sacramento valley and the Bay area.

But I don't think it's going to be too heavy. The earlier I depart, the better. I have my rain gear ready, and XM weather on the Garmin GPS-396 will tell me when I have to have it on and when it's OK to take it off.

The forecast for Laughlin is sunny and mid to high 80s, and the forecast for the return is good so far.

I'll be updating the Blog with reports from Laughlin. Hopefully there won't be any more biker gang shootouts in the casinos like there was a few years ago. But if there are, I'll post pictures here and on my Web site...

...taken from a good safe hiding spot, of course!
